Student Teaching Placement at Catlin Grade School in Catlin, Illinois. Responsibilities included taking over 5 Language Arts classes (2 8th grade and 2 7th grade), as well as lesson planning and effective communication and collaboration with the hired staff, a Special Education teacher, and 1 cooperating teacher.
Field Placement at Central High School in Champaign, Illinois. Responsibilities included teaching lessons twice a week for 5 weeks in 2 Honors Junior English classes, as well as providing individual assistance for students on assignments. Fall Semester 2006.

Responsibilities included planning 4 special events for 18 students each, handling disciplinary issues, supervising and mentoring two groups of junior girls, encouraging teamwork between the girls, supervising meals, dances, and social hours after classes for students.
